Official Criteria

To be eligible for an LES scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States and a legal resident of Louisiana
  • Be a college junior or senior in good academic standing
  • Be enrolled in an ABET-accredited curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

During the application period, eligible students may complete and submit their application online.

Louisiana Engineering Foundation Opportunities

In addition to LES scholarships, students may explore further opportunities through the Louisiana Engineering Foundation (LEF).

The Foundation works to preserve the history of the Society while supporting the long-term advancement of engineering in Louisiana through endowments and educational initiatives. LEF scholarships and funding opportunities provide additional pathways for students pursuing engineering careers in our state.

We encourage students and supporters to learn more about available Foundation programs and eligibility requirements.
